Following internal promotion and the approval of a capital development programme that exceeds £600 million in the next five years, we are currently seeking to recruit several new members of our Estates team Are you interested in an excellent opportunity to join a successful Estates Team at a leading Russell Group University?

We provide a high quality, customer focussed and efficient maintenance service operation, delivering reactive and planned maintenance to a wide range of buildings and associated services.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic person to take on the rewarding position of Mechanical Technical Assistant.  We need someone to maintain the energetic and friendly working environment within our busy Estates Office. We want a professional with drive, excellent people skills and an organised approach to the campus estates services.

You will need to be proactive, highly motivated, and persuasive in approach, with first-rate communication skills, written and oral, with good IT knowledge and experience in mechanical building services and or engineering services. You will be an essential part of a busy team and office.

The University of Birmingham supports development of its staff and the Engineering team are encouraged to take an active part in several groups; such as the Association of University Engineers (AUE), BISRIA and other Professional bodies
