Student Finance Officer

The Student and Academic Services Department at UWE are recruiting for a Student Finance Officer to work as a member of the Fees and Student Finance Team, reporting to the Student Finance Team Leader.

In this role, the successful applicant will take responsibility for delivery of the university’s published fee information for a designated faculty, support the development of the university tuition fee policy and assist in the management of university data returns to the various UK funding authorities.

In this role you will support the team leader in developing processes and policy that support and manage the collection of tuition fee revenue to the University, You will also be responsible, after training, for advising and supporting students applying for funding.

To be successful in this role you will have;

  • a proven track record of working in a highly regulated environment
  • a strong attention to detail an ability to apply complex regulations
  • Experiences of providing advice and guidance about complex issues to customers.
  • A commercial focus, delivering the best results for customers in a cost effective manner
  • Experience of working with large data sets
  • Capable of building working relationships and networks with people from a range of backgrounds and cultures both with the organization and beyond.
