Apprentice Commis Chef

We have an opportunity for an Apprentice Commis Chef to assist the Executive Head Chef and team in the College in all preparation and service of food. Applicants must have a passion for food and a desire to learn and develop within this environment.

The successful candidate will receive full training in the kitchen, learning all aspects of the role including food safety, basic food preparation and cooking techniques. In addition, the candidate will be working towards a Kitchen Apprenticeship with includes an NVQ Level 2, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills in Maths and English at Level 1. Candidates must have good verbal and written communication skills, basic Maths, have good attention to detail and be a team player.

This position requires working 37.5 hours a week on a straight shift rota to include some evenings and weekends.
