City’s Learning Enhancement and Development Service (LEaD) provides leadership and support to City’s five Schools in all aspects of education (content, delivery and support) and throughout the full student journey. LEaD is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic to a full-time, education-focused lectureship and undertake a key school liaison role.

Responsibilities

The appointed Lecturer / Senior Lecturer will join the MA Academic Practice programme team leading on two modules specifically and teaching on others. The appointed candidate will be a personal tutor for students and supervise dissertation projects; in addition to supporting staff in a wide range of educational development activity. There may also be opportunities to engage in cross- institution projects.

Person Specification

The appointed candidate will have a higher degree in a relevant field, a teaching qualification and Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. Experience of teaching at Masters level is essential, as are excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem solving skills and the ability to work effectively in teams. Experience in leading innovation with learning technology, programme design and delivery and the production of high quality resources is also required.
