About the role

Leading the School of Arts Research Centre you will contribute to the research strategy of the School and the wider College through academic leadership and appropriate research activity. The Centre will provide the primary platform for arts, creative and cultural industries research, focussing on inter-disciplinary relationships across the College and wider University.   You will participate in the development, management, academic leadership and administration of the School and College to facilitate the delivery of high quality research, knowledge transfer and teaching and learning, with a focus on both REF and research income. You will promote research informed teaching in the School and identify and grow research projects working collaboratively across the University and with public, commercial and international partners. Additionally, you will build on an established national reputation and work towards an international reputation within the academic discipline and research field.

You will be an excellent communicator and people leader and will possess significant evidence of teaching, scholarship, research and leading edge practice at a national and, preferably international, level. Additionally, you will have a substantial record of high quality publications and proven experience of generating and managing research income.
