Imperial College London - MRC Centre for Molecular Bacteriology and Infection Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, Faculty of Medicine

Campus: South Kensington

The MRC Centre for Molecular Bacteriology and Infection is a cross-Faculty initiative (Medicine and Natural Sciences) funded by a five-year grant from the MRC and matched funding from Imperial College. The overall strategy of the Centre is to apply multidisciplinary approaches to study mechanisms underlying bacterial-host interactions, from the level of atomic resolution to their actions at cellular and organismal levels. The MRC CMBI currently comprises 19 independent research teams and the funding will allow continuation of a successful PhD training programme and expansion through the recruitment of new lecturers. In addition, the Centre will establish a new high throughput single cell analysis facility.

You will ensure the smooth running of the Centre through sound financial and administrative management, acting as the key contact for all enquiries and promoting the Centre’s work both internally and externally. This challenging post therefore requires a strong and diverse skillset comprising excellent communication, financial management, organisation, and problem solving skills.

You should be educated to degree level and have extensive experience of financial management and general administration. You will need excellent all-round leadership and project management skills, in order to ensure that all aspects of the Centre move forward in adherence to ambitious timelines.
