We are seeking a highly motivated IT professional to join the Gardens and Museums IT Team. The team delivers IT provision across the University’s four Museums (Ashmolean, History of Science, Natural History, and Pitt Rivers), and Botanic Garden and Arboretum, all together comprising 600 staff.

The IT Officer will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the general use of ICT across the Gardens and Museums in collaboration with the University IT Services Managed Desktop Support Service. You will troubleshoot user problems; install, upgrade, and decommission computer-based technology; and in some areas act as first-line support and a point of reference for colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of managing IT systems in a service-oriented environment; a track record of delivering excellent customer service; and a good working knowledge of Windows, Mac desktops, and mobile devices. Good organisational skills, self-motivation, patience with others, and the ability to work as part of a team are also essential.

This is a permanent, full-time post based in Oxford.
