We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant position, funded by the Financial Data Technologies Ltd, to work with Professor Hanqing Jin at Oxford-Nie Financial Big Data Lab, Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford. This is a 1 year fixed-term position and is available from 27 November 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The postholder will be a member of a research group with responsibility for carrying out research for the project, under the supervision of the grant holder Professor Hanqing Jin. They will provide an average of 3 hours per week of teaching for 24 weeks of the year, for which additional remuneration will be paid.

Applicants should have a PhD awarded, or a Master's degree and PhD submitted (at the time of taking up the position), in mathematics or a related discipline. Possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to work within established research programmes, a track record of relevant published work concomitant with experience, and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team, as well as to possess interpersonal skills necessary to contribute effectively to a collaborative and interdisciplinary project.
