Salary range £23,000 - £25,000 per annum, plus excellent benefits

The Department of Psychology is seeking to appoint a highly organised Administrative Assistant with excellent communication skills and an interest in psychology. Reporting to the Dean of Communications, Arts and Social Sciences, the Administrative Assistant will provide a broad range of administrative and secretarial support to the Head of the Department of Psychology and the psychology faculty. Key responsibilities include providing support during accreditation and quality assurance events, liaising with the external bodies such as the British Psychological Society, preparing internal and external documentation and assisting with setting up visits, inspections and examiners’ boards.

The ability to take a planned and structured approach to work and to build effective working relationships with a wide range of University colleagues, students and external bodies is essential. Proficiency in using databases and Microsoft Office Suite is required and experience of updating and maintaining Share Point and/or web pages is essential.

An undergraduate degree or equivalent working experience is also required. An understanding of the American or UK higher education systems will be an advantage.

The Administrative Assistant will primarily be located at the University’s Kensington Campus.

This is a permanent position, subject to satisfactory completion of a three-month probationary period.
