Summary of role:

We are seeking a Research Technician to work with Professor Ben Hatchwell and other members of his research group on a NERC-funded project to investigate dispersal in a population of wild birds. The successful applicant will assist in the collection of behavioural and life history data from a wild population of individually marked Aegithalos caudatus in the vicinity of Sheffield, and will also conduct molecular genetic analysis of DNA samples in the lab.

You will have experience of field research on birds, and the ability to keep detailed notes following standard protocols. You will have experience of collection and management of data and the ability to work as part of an integrated research team.
