Library Coordinator

Bird College is seeking to recruit a full-time Library Coordinator to work in its Library & Resource Centre. The Library Coordinator will ensure the Library and Resource Centre meets the needs of students and staff, by supporting and developing a best-practice library service. The Library Coordinator will be expected to provide specific services to support the effective professional delivery of library services for staff and students, and to collaborate with the Executive Group in associated policy development across the College.

The Library Coordinator will provide advice, guidance, demonstrations and training to both students and academic staff in order to facilitate learning and teaching. They will ensure the smooth functioning of the learning resources and study areas at Bird College and work closely with the Assistant Principal (FE/HE Quality Assurance) to support the administration of acquisitions, stock control and resource audits, etc.

The successful applicant will hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent professional qualification, or have relevant experience. They will possess excellent organisational, customer service, IT, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate effectively and to work as part of a team.

Applications for varied hours, such as term-time-only and part-time working, would be considered and we may be able to offer this role on a job-share basis. Please mention in your application the hours available if less than fulltime.
