Clinical Trials Statistician

The University of Edinburgh - Edinburgh Clinical Trials Unit

The Edinburgh Clinical Trials Unit within the Usher Institute at the University of Edinburgh is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Trials Statistician to provide statistical expertise to clinical trialists through the Edinburgh Clinical Trials Unit (ECTU) including oversight of trial processes, analysis and reporting of trials, and meta-analysis, working closely with senior statistical colleagues in the Usher Institute.

Applicants must have MSc or PhD (or near completion) in medical statistics plus considerable experience relating to the design, conduct, analysis interpretation and reporting of clinical trials and or meta-analyses. Demonstrable experience and familiarity with the statistical regulatory guidelines relevant to clinical trials and statistical analysis software (SAS programming, in particular, would be an advantage) is also essential to the post.

The post is full-time (however part-time hours would be possible for the right candidate) and is available on a fixed term basis from December 2017 to December 2020.

Please include your CV and a supporting statement with details of how you meet the knowledge, skills and experience required for this post.

Informal enquiries may be directed to Professor Steff Lewis (Steff.Lewis@ed.ac.uk) or Professor Chris Weir (Christopher.Weir@ed.ac.uk).
