Head of Architecture (Enterprise Architect)

As Head of Architecture you will;

Lead the Architecture Team that are responsible for a broad range of capabilities including:

  • IT service strategy, design and service levels.
  • Emerging technologies and innovation.
  • IT service portfolio and service catalogue.
  • Architecture design, standards and principles.
  • Producing the Technology Reference Model and the Applications Reference Model.
  • IT service availability and capacity including service continuity.
  • IT governance and financial management including sourcing strategic supplier and partners.

You will be able to demonstrate;

  • Formal Business Architecture training.
  • Recent experience of Lead Architect or Head of Architecture in a commercial environment, demonstrating business acumen, balancing financial, quality, people and customer expectations.
  • Demonstrable evidence of upskilling EA functions.
  • Experience of delivering customer focused, service centric Enterprise Architecture artefacts.
  • Active engagement in Security Architecture.

This new leadership role will be core to implementing new services and ways of working within the IT department and across the institution. The successful applicant will bring a proven track record in leading and influencing change within a large, complex and agile environment, with the ability to contribute positively to organisational development at a strategic level.
