The University of St Andrews is seeking an experienced, data savvy, enterprising, strategic leader for its Careers Centre. The Director will join the Careers Centre and the University at a time of rapid change in the HE environment, in the UK and internationally. As the University continues to innovate to embrace the challenges ahead, the Director of the Careers Centre will be a key player in fulfilling the University’s academic mission and ambitious goals by working with colleagues to create a bold, coherent and effective careers strategy for the future.

There is increased student demand for access to internships and other forms of work experience, student demand for careers advice, guidance and individual information across all years of study, increasing postgraduate and international student numbers, and a need continually to enhance the student experience in a highly competitive higher education environment. Reporting directly to the Vice Principal for International Strategy and External Relations, the successful candidate will be one who strives for excellence, and has the leadership skills to make what is already a successful service even better. Ideally the successful candidate will take up the position on or around 1 February 2018. The position will be a standard appointment.

You are encouraged to contact the Vice Principal (International Strategy and External Relations),, 01334 463320 or the Director of Strategy and Policy,, 01334 462143 for further information about the post, careers service and institution and to discuss the particulars before applying.
