This is an exciting new role in the newly formed College of Professional Services with responsibilities to lead and manage the Social Work and Social Sciences department so that it realises its potential and delivers excellence in the full portfolio of academic programmes and activities, within the context of the operation and strategic development of the School and College.

Educated to degree level, with a Doctorate (PhD or Professional Doctorate) in a relevant discipline or relevant equivalent professional experience, you will have a credible professional track record and/or research record. With a sound knowledge of the UK Higher Education in Social Work and/or Social Sciences, you will have experience of successful academic leadership and management in the University sector, including experience of staff performance and development and managing resources including budgets.
