The Department of Computing is one of the top 3 university computing departments in the UK.  Its success is built on excellence, innovation and multi-disciplinary working. Within this context, the Department's Computing Support Group (CSG) comprises a team of systems administrators, developers, and user support staff that work closely to deliver innovative solutions and resilient services to its staff and student population.

Applications are invited for a Computing Systems Administrator and Developer to support the provision of both new and existing computing systems and software in the Department of Computing. The post holder will liaise with departmental academic, research and teaching staff regarding systems and network administration, software development and user support, and with College ICT staff.  They will provide advice and support for purchasing and installation of computing software and hardware.

Applicants should have an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a computer science related subject. They must be highly proficient in the technical management of Linux and Windows systems and must have excellent application development skills. They must be willing to work cooperatively as part of a team, have good analytical skills and a structured and methodical approach to working. The ability to communicate effectively and clearly to both staff and students is essential.

The appointed candidate will be working at the South Kensington Campus.
