Background

Applications are invited for the post of Director of the Christ Church Business School. The successful candidate’s principal responsibility will be to lead and manage the School to deliver an excellent student experience, internationally excellent research and knowledge exchange and an outstanding work environment for staff. The post holder is also expected to make a research and/or teaching contribution to one area of the School’s portfolio.

The Role

We are seeking to appoint a Director who will build on the existing strengths of the Business School to develop a vibrant learning community that will ensure staff and students can meet their aspirations.

Requirements

The appointee will need to have an established research profile, be respected by the broader business community and have a track record in promoting innovation in teaching and learning. Experience of motivating and developing staff from a wide range of backgrounds will be required if the growth plans of the school are to be achieved. Additional experience of developing UK and transnational education partnerships would be beneficial.

Consideration will be given to conferring the title of Professor provided that the applicant meets the University’s published criteria.
