Departmental Lecturer in Russian

Grade 7: £31,604 - £38,833 with a discretionary range to £42,418 p.a. (pro rata)

The faculty are seeking to appoint a Departmental Lecturer in Russian from 1 January 2018 to 30 September 2020. This post is to support Professor Phillip Bullock while he takes on the Directorship of The Oxford Research Centre for the Humanities (TORCH). The post will involve advanced teaching and academic research in Russian. 

Applicants must possess exceptional fluency in Russian and evidence of the ability to teach undergraduate (and graduate) students across a range of topics in modern Russian literature at the highest level in the medium of English, whether through lectures, seminars or tutorials. They should possess a good undergraduate degree in Russian and a PhD or DPhil in Russian (or be due to submit their PhD/DPhil thesis by 1 December 2017 at the latest).

This is a part-time post (0.75 FTE).
