Lecturer/Senior Lecturer – Adult Nursing (Long-term Conditions)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse (Adult) to join the Leicester School of Nursing and Midwifery as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer. An appropriate teaching qualification is desirable.

We are seeking an individual who is enthusiastic and passionate about the care patients with long-term conditions receive. You should be an experienced practitioner in this field, and have a relevant academic background. You will have an active NMC registration as an Adult Nurse, with evidence of professional development.

You will be expected to lead and teach on modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will be involved in curriculum development and student support and assessment. You will join a friendly team, who are committed to their students ensuring their success as competent graduates.

You must be able to deliver a high standard of teaching. Possession of contemporary clinical knowledge of adult nursing, interprofessional health care practice, and policy initiatives are essential. You will be expected to work collaboratively with clinical colleagues and other stakeholders. You will support both students and mentors in clinical placements in a variety of care settings at local and regional level. There will be the opportunity to be involved in research, external income generation and international activities.

Invited candidates will be asked to deliver a ten minute presentation, which will form part of the recruitment process.
