We are seeking an experienced and proactive Records Manager to update the University's records management framework, including policies, practices and retention schedules.

This is a key post reporting through the Head of Student Records and Compliance to the Academic Registrar and will be instrumental in ensuring the University embeds good practice in records management across the institution. The framework that you develop will support all of the University's business and research processes, including information security, data protection and freedom of information compliance.

Educated to degree level or equivalent you should hold a recognised postgraduate qualification in records management or a relevant related field. You should have experience devising and implementing a records management framework in a large of complex organisation.  With experience of providing training to staff with various levels of knowledge and seniority, the successful applicant will have the ability to influence staff at all levels.

Excellent communication skills, strong influencing and organisational skills are essential.  You should be self-motivated with the ability to work on your own and as part of a small team. Knowledge of relevant legislation is essential; an understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation and its implications for information management and policy development would also be desirable.
