Senior Research Associate / Senior Research Associate / Research Fellow in Statistical Modelling

University of Bristol - Bristol Medical School (PHS)

We are recruiting a Senior Research Associate or Research Fellow in statistics, the level of appointment depending on qualifications and experience. This is a 3-year post in the first instance with potential to extend to 4 years.

You will be part of a wide-ranging international multi-centre study of zika virus, and will focus on mother-to-child transmission of zika and other mosquito-borne viruses, and the consequences for the fetus, newborn and child. A second area of work will be on incidence, prevalence, and diagnostics of these viruses.

You will have a further role in providing statistical advice to other members of the consortium. The work requires a statistician with excellent maths and computing skills, with experience of Bayesian data analysis using Markov chain Monte Carlo, and with an interest in medical research.

For informal enquiries contact Professor Tony Ades by email at
