This position will sit within the Employer Engagement (EE) team. The Senior Employer Engagement Adviser will manage the delivery of two external projects and schemes. The appointed candidate will be key to maximising the effectiveness of City’s Education and Student Strategy, improving the image of the team and increasing the overall efficiency of the entire Careers Service.

Responsibilities
The role holder will ensure the successful delivery of our flagship Micro-Placements Programme (MPP), Industry Insights Programme (IIP) and other external projects the EE team. They will work collaboratively with employers and across the schools and professional services at City to source exclusive opportunities for students to provide industry insight and employability. Responsibilities will also include securing sponsorship and income for the EE team, actively contributing to the MPP project board and the line management of two staff members.

Person Specification
Previous experience of working in a similar target driven role in the Higher Education, Commercial, Recruitment or Marketing environments together with an appreciation of the issues related to careers provision within the Higher Education context are required. The role holder will have excellent project management and interpersonal skills with the ability to form strong working relationships with all stakeholders. Diplomacy and negotiation skills are essential together with the ability to solve problems creatively and exercise sound judgment. Exceptional planning, organization and team working skills are essential to success in this role.
