Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have a background in applied health research? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research intensive Universities?

We are seeking a Senior Research Fellow with extensive experience of working within mixed methods quantitative and/or qualitative research studies. You must have a track record of delivery of research within applied health research studies.

You will join a team of applied health researchers and academics within the Leeds Institute of Health Sciences (LIHS). You will develop collaborative research proposals with clinical leads within NHS organisations, primarily the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust (LTHT) and LIHS, applying to the main applied health research funding schemes, namely the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). As an expert in applied health you will be required to conduct scoping discussions with NHS researchers based upon their existing research activities. Your post will sit within the Applied Health Co-operative (AHC), a LIHS-based collaborative research initiative between the LTHT and University of Leeds. You will be required to develop a portfolio of research based on applied health research projects within the Institute consistent with Institute and LTHT research strategies and your research interests.

You must have experience developing and leading a programme of research and be able to organise a complex and varied workload, use judgement and initiative and communicate effectively with a diverse range of organisations, groups and individuals. You will be educated to PhD level or have commensurate experience in the broad area of health services research at a senior level.
