We are looking for an experienced assurance manager with excellent analytical and communication skills to play a leading role in supporting our social mobility ambitions. This part-time post (0.6 FTE) is available immediately on a permanent basis.

The postholder will play a key role in developing procedures and practices to ensure our widening participation expenditure achieves maximum impact, can be robustly evaluated and is OFFA compliant. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Widening Participation and UK Student Recruitment to develop a strong evidence base to inform our activities and will lead on the collation, analysis and reporting of progress towards KPIs. Supporting budget holders and academic staff in drawing up robust business plans and bids for funding, the postholder will also lead improvement projects and provide policy development support.

Able to communicate complex financial information to a lay audience, the successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build good relationships across different teams. Qualified in a relevant area such as accountancy, s/he will be familiar with the widening participation landscape within HE and have significant experience in a compliance or audit setting.
