Senior Health Economist

We are looking for a Senior Health Economist to join our Mathematical and Economic Modelling (MEAMOD) group. You will have responsibility for carrying out research in the economic evaluation of options for the treatment and clinical management of individuals with Plasmodium falciparum malaria. You will provide guidance to other members of the research group developing individual based mathematical models by informing unit costs and their scalability in large scale interventions.

You will have doctoral degree in health economics, public health or similar qualification, together with relevant research experience and possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the economic evaluation of infectious diseases, including data analysis, cost-effectiveness analysis, decision analytic modelling and P falciparum malaria. Previous experience of collecting cost data or working in low/middle income countries is a must. It would be highly desired if you had experience of independently managing a discrete area of a research project.

This is a full-time post for 2 years in the first instance.
