Research Assistant - Bone, Vascular and Cancer Biology

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Research Assistant (RA) to join the new research group of Dr Anjali Kusumbe at the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology in Oxford looking at the role of vascular niches in the bone.

You will perform and manage cell and molecular biology experimental procedures, including flow cytometry, immunostaining, cell culture and mouse experiments. You will play a key role in ensuring the day-to-day smooth functioning of the laboratory. You will also have responsibilities in laboratory administration and safety management.

You should have a Master’s degree in biological sciences, preferably in molecular and cellular biology together with relevant research laboratory experience. Experience of working with mouse models and of molecular and cell biology techniques is essential. You should be highly organised, a good communicator and a positive and dynamic person who will support the research activity and also provide administrative support for the smooth running of the laboratory.

This is a full-time post funded for 12 months in the first instance.
