Employability Consultant

Kingston University

You will work with colleagues and new and existing employers to promote our services, whilst developing Faculty specific initiatives and implementing appropriate aspects of the employability strategy. You will contribute to a diverse programme of activities that are designed to give students exposure to the world of work and support them in their pursuit of employment. Students will recognise and value you as an expert point of contact. As well as delivering sessions to support their development, you will be involved in everything from marketing activities to stimulate demand, through to matching students with specific employment opportunities.

The Person

A proactive individual, you will ideally have a professional background that spans both recruitment and higher education. You will certainly demonstrate strong knowledge of recruitment, business development, the employability agenda and associated skills required within the higher education sector. A talented and proactive relationship manager, you will bring to the role excellent communication skills and the ability to work with diverse students, employers and academics to make things happen. Strong organisational and project management skills are also essential. You'll be charismatic, energetic and have an engaging delivery style

Using knowledge and experience of recruitment and business development, you will contribute to a diverse programme of activities that are designed to give students exposure to the real world of work and support them in their pursuit of employment. You will lead the employability activity for a specific Faculty, developing key relationships and implementing strategies to maximise new and existing opportunities that will benefit Faculty academics, employers and of course, our students.
