Lecturer in Project Management

The salary range will be Grade 7: £38,581 - £41,864 per annum/ Grade 8: £43,023 - £50,753 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

The Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management is one of the world’s leading academic centres of excellence in the management of projects and construction economics. The School seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Project Management who will lecture and perform research both in the area of construction project management and general project management.

The successful applicant will be expected to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels; to carry out research and produce high quality publications; to supervise or assist with supervision; to contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum; to assist in the development of learning materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records; to participate in the development, administration and marking of exams and other assessments; to participate in departmental and faculty seminars; and to provide pastoral care and support to students.

This is a open-ended, full-time post.

The appointee is required to have a PhD in a relevant field, and a Professional body membership, ideally RICS. The successful candidate will also need to have excellent knowledge of project management theory and practice, ideally with a focus on the built environment, and knowledge of management as applied to construction organisations and/or other similar project businesses and organisations; together with a proven record of ability to deliver high quality teaching and other forms of public presentations, to supervise academic work, and to conduct high quality research; as well as experience of academic administration such as allocation of dissertation supervision and preparation for examination boards.
