We are seeking an efficient and well-organised Senior HR Administrator to provide a comprehensive HR administrative service to departments within the Faculty of Engineering.

As the first point of contact for general HR enquiries you will advise on policies and procedures, immigration issues, and recruitment and selection. As such, duties will include:

  • Preparing employment contracts
  • Processing certificates of sponsorship
  • Processing maternity/paternity/shared parental leave applications
  • Maintaining the HR database

In this front-line position, you will be able to draw on your experience as an HR Assistant, Senior HR Assistant, Senior HR Administrator, HR Administrator, HR Officer or similar, ideally gained while working in the public, charity or higher education sector.

Effective verbal and written communication skills and IT literacy are must haves, as is an ability to deal effectively with staff at all levels. A passion for quality service and excellent time management skills are essential. This post has a high work volume and therefore it is essential that you can work well under pressure, with the ability to prioritise effectively. You should be self-motivated, with a positive and solutions focussed attitude, and the ability to generate and contribute creative ideas to assist in service development. Previous administrative experience within a similar HR environment would be advantageous.
