The University of Bath, one of the UK’s top universities, is seeking an additional Freedom of Information (FoI) Officer. Full details are included in the job specification attached to the role.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of:

  • managing all aspects of compliance with Freedom of Information Act;
  • demonstrating excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines;
  • establishing and maintaining good relationships both within and beyond their immediate sphere of influence;
  • being self-motivated, proactive and having the ability to work effectively in a team, autonomously and with staff at all levels, including those at the highest level.

The Freedom of Information Officer is an important role at the University and sits within the Office of the University Secretary. The role holder reports to the Senior Legal Adviser, who also heads up the Legal team at the University of Bath.

The University of Bath is situated on an attractive campus surrounded by beautiful countryside and overlooking the centre of Bath. It is a campus University offering excellent sports and arts facilities, etc.

This is a permanent appointment and is available on a full-time basis or if appropriate, a part-time basis (4 days a week).
