We are currently seeking to allocate PhD Scholarships for the following topics:

Creative Industries

  • Screen culture: the impact of advertising?
  • Visual marketing and music video at Sony Music UK.

Cyber Security

  • Deep learning framework for intelligent Android malware detection against stealth attacks.
  • Blockchain-based security solutions for cyber-physical systems (CPS).
  • Covert communications and forensic steganalysis of encrypted data over multimedia networking.
  • Secure data communications between sensors and data processing units in smart city transport systems.
  • Cyber threat mitigation in the IOT: the case of personal information security.

Dementia Care

  • Multi-sensory approaches in dementia care.

Policing

  • Governing London policing.

Public Health

  • Understanding health and wellbeing of older women living alone in UK households.

Technology Enhanced Learning

  • The application of technology enhanced learning to redesigning university curricula.

 

PhD Scholarship opportunity

After enrolling as a full-time MPhil/PhD student, you will begin work on your project within the relevant School/College and also undertake teaching duties for a maximum of six hours per week.

The scholarships are for three years and are open to all UK/EU students who qualify and include:

  • MPhil/PhD fee waiver at the UK/EU rate
  • Tax-free stipend of £15,000 per annum

Closing date for applications is 29 October 2017 with candidates being invited for interview in November 2017. The scholarships will commence in January 2018 or May 2018.
