Project Manager – Continuing Professional Development

Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) seeks to appoint a Project Manager to oversee the expansion of our portfolio of continuing professional development (CPD) courses. We are keen to identify and develop new courses and to develop a more consistent approach to managing this aspect of our academic programmes.

The Project Manager will work closely with the Vice-Principal (Student Experience, Teaching and Learning) to deliver this aspect of the institutional strategy, taking a lead in the implementation of new initiatives to enhance and expand the existing offering.

The Project Manager will undertake market research, liaise with employers and work closely with QMUL’s academic departments to identify programmes that meet the needs of industry and individuals. The Project Manager will also work with a range of QMUL colleagues on the infrastructure for supporting the development of flexible and accessible CPD courses.

This is a one-year position, in the first instance, available as 0.8-1.0 FTE (subject to discussion with candidates). The starting salary will be in the range of £45,577-£48,150 (pro rata) depending on experience. The benefits package for this post include 30 days’ annual leave per annum (pro rata) and a defined benefit pension scheme.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points-Based Immigration Scheme.
