Assistant Registrar (Tier 4 Compliance)

Coventry University - Registry

Coventry is a dynamic, global and transformational University Group committed to creating better futures, and being world leading in all that it does.

Following a period of exceptional growth and development, Coventry has solidified its position as the leading modern University in the UK, been awarded University of the Year in 2015 and Modern University of the Year in 2014, 2015 and 2016. The scale and scope of the University's international activities were recognised in 2015 by a Queen's Award for Enterprise. With students from almost 150 countries, and over 25 TNE collaborations, the University has ambitious plans for further growth in our sector-leading international agenda.

With your significant experience of the UK Higher Education sector and knowledge of student visa requirements, you will play a key role in delivering the Group's corporate ambitions, whilst maintaining our reputation for quality in content and delivery.

This senior post in Registry will report to the Deputy Registrar and will also work closely with the University's International Office.  This is a fantastic opportunity to support the Group Registrar & Secretary in ensuring that the University Group is fully compliant with all relevant legislation particularly related to the recruitment of international students.  This predominately relates to Home Office regulations on Tier 4 sponsorship under the Points Based System but is by no means limited to this.

The successful candidate will be flexible, resilient, have excellent communication and leadership skills and possess the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external parties at all levels.

Closing date: 26th October 2017.
