What are we looking for?

Building on recent growth across all areas of the portfolio, we have embarked upon an exciting and ambitious plan for expansion and diversification. As part of this, the Finance team are looking for a Head of FP&A, reporting to the Director of Finance but with a high level of support to the CFO. The post-holder will be responsible for developing and maintaining an FP&A function that provides the highest quality of reporting and analysis, supporting delivery of the University’s strategy. Equally important is the provision of an excellent business partnering service to the Executive Board, the Campus Deans and the Central services departments. 

The ideal applicant will be a qualified accountant with a strong FP&A/business partnering background and substantial experience of working in a highly commercial environment. You will be comfortable working with and providing advice to senior leaders and the Board, but also have the ability to challenge the status quo where improvements and processes can be improved upon.  With responsibility for managing and developing a small team, you will take ownership for the provision of monthly management accounts to the Board, supported by detailed insight and performance commentary.
