Fixed term contract for 6 months

18.25 hours per week (50% FTE)

To undertake research at the University of Warwick on the VEEP trial. This is a pilot trial of a social cognition therapy delivered in an online virtual world funded by the MQ foundation. Warwick is the only recruitment centre at present and recruitment will be done at the Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust. You will be responsible for assisting with patient recruitment, completing assessments using structured questionnaires of social cognition, symptoms and functioning, undertaking interviews with patients exploring acceptability of the therapy and virtual world and undertaking data entry as well as participating in any other activities that will support the success of the trial.

You will have a good first degree (2:1 or higher) in psychology or other social science related discipline together with experience of working or undertaking research within a mental health environment. Knowledge and understanding in both quantitative and qualitative research methods is a requirement as is experience in the use of statistics packages and of conducting statistical analysis. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and aptitude for persuading patients and clinicians to support and participate in research.
