Programme Manager

We are seeking an outstanding Programme Manager for the NHS Digital Academy within the Usher Institute at the University of Edinburgh. The post holder will be responsible for the management of the University of Edinburgh component of the NHS Digital Academy and will work closely with course leads and students as well as outward facing liaison with external partners at Imperial College London, Harvard Medical School and the Faculty of Clinical Informatics. The post also involves the strategic development of the course in terms of developing a long term business plan and business strategy and liaison with potential new funders and participants in the devolved nations.  

The post-holder will be expected to operate at a senior level to plan, develop and manage the Edinburgh led courses and to liaise with senior external colleagues.  The successful candidate will have a PhD (or near completion) in a relevant subject or equivalent experience, demonstrable project management and financial management experience and will have experience of designing and administering educational programmes at postgraduate level, and of working in a strongly customer focused environment. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work independently, and as part of a team, are all required for the post.

The post is full-time (35 hours per week), available immediately until 31st March 2021.
