We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious HCPC registered Occupational Therapy Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to join our small dynamic team, ideally with a background in physical rehabilitation and experience of supporting students in practice settings. You will be educated to Masters Level and willing to undertake a PhD (with comprehensive support from the University and School). You will also have a relevant teaching qualification or be willing to complete this within your first year, in order for you to become a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).

As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, you will be involved in teaching, assessment and support of students and will contribute to a range of cutting edge teaching and learning strategies, including Team Based Learning, Inter-professional and Peer Learning. You will promote and maintain excellent links with practice partners and wider organisations in order to support quality practice placements for students. You will contribute to the team’s expanding research portfolio, thus enabling students to learn from knowledgeable and well-qualified educators who are at the forefront of their subject area.

The Occupational Therapy course at Huddersfield has an excellent reputation. We deliver innovative undergraduate occupational therapy education and contribute to the portfolio of postgraduate education within the School of Human and Health Sciences at the University of Huddersfield. The course scored 100% for student satisfaction on the National Student Survey and 100% of our graduates are employed in a professional or managerial job after six months. As part of our team, you will make an essential contribution to maintaining these high standards by influencing the course development, and the direction of occupational therapy at the University of Huddersfield.
