Grade 8: £39,992 - £47,722 with a discretionary range to £52,132 p.a. (pro rata for part-time)

The Blavatnik School of Government in Oxford is recruiting a Head of Executive Office. This is a senior role with four core functions: to provide strategic support to the Dean, senior faculty, and the Chief Operating Officer (COO); to manage the School’s governance; to direct new project development; and to oversee key strategic partnerships.  The post holder will manage a team of six staff across and ensure effective delivery and a joined-up approach.  The post holder will also be a member of the senior administrative team and contribute to collective decision-making on the strategic direction of the School.

This is a critical and exciting role. The post holder occupies a pivotal role in the organisation. S/he will sit at the centre and have an unparalleled perspective of the issues and opportunities facing the School. S/he will use this to ensure that there is a strong sense of common purpose by joining up activities and sharing information across the School. S/he will have important management responsibilities, leading a high-performing team delivering key institutional priorities.

This is a full-time post though part-time applications from suitably experienced candidates for 0.6 FTE or higher will be considered. This is a fixed-term maternity cover appointment, initially for 1 year, commencing no later than 8 January 2018.
