University of Exeter - Global Advancement

The University of Exeter is a Russell Group university that combines world-class research with very high levels of student satisfaction. Exeter has over 21,000 students from more than 130 different countries and is in the top 1% of universities in the world with 98% of its research rated as being of international quality, and was recently awarded Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). Our research focuses on some of the most fundamental issues facing humankind today. Fifty percent of our organisation is made up of Professional Services support staff that partner closely with the Academic colleges to ensure we achieve our strategy and vision.

In February 2017, the University launched publically its most ambitious fundraising Campaign to date, ‘Exeter: making the exceptional happen’, which aims to raise £60 million of new philanthropic funds, as well as securing 60,000 volunteer hours from 6,000 supporters by 2020.

Ensuring philanthropically funded scholarships and awards are managed efficiently and effectively from the point of receipt of a gift agreement from the donor, to the delivery of progress updates to the donor is crucial to this Campaign. Effective stewardship of all philanthropic donations is vital to ensure long-term relationships with donors and ultimately the success of fundraising campaigns. This full-time post is available immediately on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, have strong communication skills, both written and verbal and have a high standard of administration.

The University offers some fantastic benefits including 39 days leave per year, options for flexible working, numerous discounts at leading retailers, an onsite gym, yoga and pilates, a cycle to work scheme and a stunning campus environment in the heart of Exeter.
