Research Initiatives Manager

The School of Clinical Medicine wishes to recruit a Research Initiatives Manager.

The post holder will provide high-level support for scientific research initiatives led by for the Regius Professor of Physic and other Professors in the School (especially Heads of Departments and BRC Theme Leads) to promote the School as a world class establishment. The primary responsibility of the post will be key support for scientific writing, especially co-ordination and preparation of complex research funding proposals/bids. In addition, this role will oversee outreach and communications activities for the School, and be involved with REF preparation, especially drafting impact statements.  

The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree in a relevant scientific field (or equivalent), organisational skills, experience in grant/bid writing, and be able to write clearly and persuasively.

A part-time or flexible hours working pattern may be possible.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 3 years in the first instance.
