WMG is seeking a talented researcher in Machine Learning to join its newly formed Data Science team. This is an emerging area for WMG and offers an exciting opportunity for engagement on a broad range of academic and industrial projects, from healthcare to automotive.
Using the latest techniques in the field to extract deep insights from big data, you will work on a range of projects across the portfolio of research groups in WMG, so the ability to collaborate with academics, engineers and scientists will be key.
With a PhD in Machine Learning (or related field), programming experience in Python or similar languages and some familiarity with deep learning libraries such as Torch, you will have a serious appetite to engage in research project delivery. In return we will provide you with a great range of benefits which include an attractive pension scheme, 30 days holiday plus Christmas closure, some fantastic savings on a wide range of products and services, and excellent learning and development opportunities.
If you have not yet been awarded your PhD but are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant on level 5 of the University grade structure (£28,936). Upon successful award of your PhD and evidence of this fact, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of the level 6 of the University grade structure (£29,799).
