Programme Leader, BA (Hons) Jewellery

Grade: Senior / Principal Lecturer

This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary and highly motivated individual to have a significant input into establishing, leading, and developing a high calibre, internationally facing BA (Hons) Jewellery programme, within a vibrant and dynamic Art School in the centre of Moscow.

The British Higher School of Art & Design has been at the forefront of Art & Design education in Russia for the past 14 years and continues to establish an international reputation as a provider of high quality, innovative and creative undergraduate and pre-degree Art & Design programmes in partnership with the University of Hertfordshire.

The geographic and educational context of studying a British Art & Design degree in Moscow is central to the dynamism and spirit of the degree programmes at BHSAD. Our alumni are ambassadors for change and embrace the responsibility to challenge, re-define and further establish the creative industries in both a local and a global context.

As with all of our undergraduate Degree provision, the BA (Hons) Jewellery programme will be taught in English and accredited by our partner institution, The University of Hertfordshire with validation for the award scheduled for March 2018.

The successful candidate will join a team of experienced art and design lecturers and subject specialists consisting of international and local full time and part time staff who together help to create a culturally rich and vibrant, creative environment.

This is a unique and important appointment which presents the postholder with the opportunity to play a significant, lead role in the overall development of a new area of provision within the school. As such we are looking for applicants with experience of developing, leading and managing, or making a significant contribution to the development, leadership and management of Higher Education programmes operating within a UK framework, either specifically on a BA (Hons) Jewellery programme or on other relevant programmes.

Applicants will be ambitious and highly motivated, possess excellent communication skills and be team players with the ability to inspire, lead and manage staff and students.
