Events Coordinator

University of Surrey - Surrey Sports Park

An opportunity has arisen within the Events Department for a proactive, self-motivated and highly organised individual to join our team.

The post holder will need to demonstrate a confident communication style as they will be required to liaise and negotiate with individuals on the use and cost of using the Sports Park for key events and conferences, this will be done under the guidance of the Events Manager. They will also be expected to build effective working relationships within the teams, with colleagues and with external partners. The successful candidate will be expected to take responsibility for overseeing activities within the events department in the absence of the Events Manager.

Educated to HND level or equivalent, or with significant relevant vocational experience, you will also have first class knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, email, internet and database entry. In addition, the post holder will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and administration skills, along with adaptability, openness to change and personal motivation in all aspects of their work.
