Support Technician – Biological Research Facilities

We are looking for dedicated, motivated and enthusiastic team players to take on the role of a support technician within our biological research facilities. This is a vital role within our team and organisation, contributing to our medical research, vision and excellence in science.

As a support technician you will hold a number of varied responsibilities, which include but are not limited to;

  • Using equipment in an appropriate and efficient manner. This includes, for example, cage washers, bottle washers, robotic cage processing systems, laminar air flow cabinets, autoclaves and pallet trucks
  • Delivering animals, stock and consumables between delivery points and BRF units in a timely manner
  • Providing daily support to the BRF, e.g. by preparing cages, racking, water pouches, laundry and consumable supplies
  • Undertaking general cleaning and disinfection of areas through-out the BRF, including toilets and shower areas
