Subject Librarian

University of Gloucestershire - Business School

This is initially a 12-month maternity leave position for a subject librarian. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting courses within the Business School at the University of Gloucestershire, specifically across law, accounting and finance, and business management.

It is an exciting time for the Business School as the course group prepares to move to its new purpose built premises at the Oxstalls campus in Gloucester during summer 2018. The successful candidate will therefore be heavily involved in the coordination of stock moves to the newly furbished campus and redesigned library, as well being involved in discussions around the development of learning spaces both in the new building and in the Oxstalls library. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the relevant library collections, prepare and deliver information literacy sessions to staff and students within the school and handle user enquires.

It is essential that applicants are qualified librarians with experience of working within the Higher Education environment. In addition, experience of supporting legal queries would also be beneficial. A flexible approach to working with a range of stakeholders, excellent customer service skills and enthusiasm for working in a busy academic library.

Interview Date: Wednesday 1st November 2017

The University understands the benefits of recruiting a diverse range of people and welcome applications from under-represented sections of the community.
