Student Administration Assistant

The School of Biosciences are seeking to recruit a Student Administration Assistant to cover a period of maternity leave. You will provide a full range of administrative support, especially term time assessments and timetabling, as part of a small administrative team supporting students and staff within the School.

As a Student Administration you will:

  • Manage timetabling changes and assessment arrangement for all students, including short credit students and Inclusive Learning Plans adaptations for in class tests in order to facilitate smooth running of taught modules and term time assessments.
  • Provide student administration support to contribute operations in the busy student administration office.
  • Provide general administration to contribute to office operation.

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • GCSE English and maths at Grade C or above or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of working in a student or customer facing role.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, Excel) and database systems (such as the Student Database SDS or Cressida)
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; comfortable in communicating with a range of people from students to senior management.
