The Experimental Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and administration of the Facility, and for provision of the Advanced Mass Spectrometry service, which will primarily consist of quantitative proteomics in addition to other mass spectrometry analyses. The postholder will provide advice to users, design and conduct experiments, undertake data analysis, develop new methods, and supervise and train new and existing lab members.

Applicants will be expected to have a PhD in biological mass spectrometry and significant hands-on experience of quantitative proteomics and LC MS/MS. Experience of Fourier transform mass spectrometry would be an advantage.
