Academic Support Administrator

University of Wolverhampton - Faculty of Social Sciences

The Faculty of Social Sciences is seeking to appoint to the post of Academic Support Administrator to take responsibility for the provision of administration services and course/programme support in the Faculty. The overall purpose of the post is to provide a high level of administrative support for staff and students, service courses/programmes, committees, meetings and events and to provide an excellent level of customer service.

You will be educated to A-level standard or equivalent and be required to demonstrate evidence of good office and administrative experience, with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and high standards of literacy and numeracy. Excellent communication skills and experience of using a variety of appropriate media is a prerequisite of the post.

Knowledge of SITS or similar student records system is desirable. Experience of working within stipulated regulations and procedures is essential as is experience of working with internal and external stakeholders from a range of cultural backgrounds.

Personal attributes required include a proactive and professional approach, excellent interpersonal skills, good organisational capabilities, ability to meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and the ability to work under pressure.
