Imperial College London aims to offer all its students a world-leading, rigorous, evidence-based, inclusive educational experience embedded in a vibrant research environment. The College’s new Learning and Teaching Strategy, launched in June 2017, sets out an ambitious programme of work aimed at establishing Imperial as a global leader in innovative, evidence-based education. The Vice Provost (Education), Professor Simone Buitendijk, leads the implementation of the Strategy, which will be underpinned by significant new investment in education supporting new, innovative, evidence-based teaching and learning methods across the College.

This new role presents an exciting opportunity for someone with experience of working in higher education, with a strong interest in learning and teaching and in educational research, to contribute towards a significant programme.

The Executive Officer will be responsible for supporting the Vice-Provost in her external work, including the support of scholarly activity, international collaborations and networks.

They will be expected to play a pivotal role in ensuring the co-ordination of initiatives across College and the effective exchange of information and ideas, ensuring alignment with the Learning and Teaching Strategy and the College’s broader mission and strategy.

Working with a high degree of autonomy, the successful candidate will need excellent organisational and communication skills, coupled with the ability to develop strong and productive working relationships with a broad range of staff.
