Student Recruitment Co-ordinator (UK and Events)

University of Cambridge - Cambridge Admissions Office

Applications are invited for a Student Recruitment Co-ordinator based in the Cambridge Admissions Office.

The post is part of the Student Recruitment and Information (UK and Events) Team which provides events and resources for prospective applicants, their parents and teachers in order to encourage applications to the University. The post holder will co-ordinate the organisation and delivery of the Postgraduate Open Day. This includes liaising with colleagues across the University, planning the programme for the event and co-ordinating a student ambassador team on the day itself. The University of Cambridge Postgraduate Open Day only ran for the first time in 2016 so this is an exciting opportunity to make your mark on the event.

In addition to co-ordinating the Postgraduate Open Day, the role holder will be involved with supporting other events delivered by the team and will attend a number of events for prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students throughout the year.

Applicants should be educated to first degree level, have excellent organisational and communication skills, and experience of widening participation, outreach or recruitment in an educational setting. The post holder will work as part of a strong team whilst self-managing their individual workload in order to ensure the successful delivery of events.

Additional information regarding the role can be found within the further particulars. Your application should clearly set out how you meet the essential criteria listed in the person profile (the knowledge, skills and experience required for the role) along with relevant examples. Candidates will be shortlisted based upon these criteria.

Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check (enhanced with children's barred list) and a health assessment.
